Daycare Pre-Primary montessori program is designed around the basic Montessori concept of “freedom within limits.” The environment is prepared with age-appropriate materials and exercises that encourage each child’s natural curiosity and enthusiasm.
The equipment in the preschool class environment and outdoor area, as well as the consistency of our routines, have all been carefully designed to foster the development of our youngest students.
Maria Montessori’s historic approach to academic success is based on the simple concept of tailoring education to match children’s natural tendencies instead of imposing arbitrary rules from the adult world.
Montessori observed that children are extraordinarily curious and experiential, and she thought to respect these attributes instead of condemning them.
Montessori realized that children learn best through discovery, personal intentionality, and experimentation. These observations led her to develop materials that concretely illustrated abstract principles of mathematics, language, and science.
Her interactive materials were the first ever developed for children and contained a built-in control of error to allow the child to self-correct rather than remain dependent on the adult.
Our Pre-Primary day strictly follows her practices and includes independent and small group activities that develop gross and fine motor skills, cognitive, social, and language skills.
Art, music, and free play round out their busy day. Since children in this age group love to be “on-the-go” ample opportunity is provided to explore the outdoor environment, engage in outdoor activities, or just run in the sun for a part of every day.
Children who complete our daycare montessori pre-primary program enter elementary school with a remarkable foundation for academic and personal success.
Our experienced staff infuses a love of learning from an early age, focusing on hands-on exploration, independence, and self-motivation. These qualities allow children to adapt seamlessly to the more structured environment of elementary school while maintaining the curiosity and initiative cultivated during their time at our Plano campus.
Beyond academic readiness, our programs nurture emotional and social development. Children learn to regulate their emotions, work respectfully with peers, and develop empathy through collaborative activities and mixed-age classrooms. These experiences prepare them to handle the social dynamics of elementary school with confidence and maturity.
Our educators entrain necessary advanced communication skills, resilience, and the ability to adapt to new challenges—all of which set them up for success in their continuing education.
The foundation built at American Montessori Campus gives children an unparalleled start, ensuring they enter elementary school not only ready to meet academic expectations but eager to thrive as lifelong learners.
